All-candidates forum The Greater Westside Board of Trade is hosting an all-candidates forum for the West Kelowna municipal election at the Westbank Lions Community Centre from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be a question and answer period with the mayoralty and school trustee candidates, then attendees will heave the opportunit­y to meet and greet all candidates for mayor, council and school trustee positions. Free. Open gym Drop-In Youth Open Gym at Mar Jok Elementary School Gym. Program runs for Grades 5-8 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. and Grades 9-12 students from 7:45 to 9 p.m. Drop-in costs $2 or buy a book of 10 tickets for $18 good for all drop-in gym sport programs. Tai chi Tai Chi Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Westbank United Church. Membership costs $20 per month and the tai chi manual costs $10 with membership. Proceeds go to the Westbank United Church. Chess club Kids six and older can learn to play chess, expand their skills and have fun playing with other children at the After School Chess Club from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Westbank library. Unplug and play Unplug and play at the Westbank Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Families can turn of their devices and have some old-fashioned fun by bringing their own games or trying out some of the games and puzzles in the library’s collection, including chess, checkers, cribbage, Catan and Seven Wonders. Families Unplug and Play Together runs Wednesday nights. It’s a free drop-in event.

Play bridge Bridge drop-in from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. in Room C at the Westbank Lions Community Centre. This easy-going learning game is for newer and rusty players. Participan­ts can come by themselves or bring a partner. This program runs weekly until Dec. 20. Drop-in costs $5. Walk N Talk Walk N Talk goes from 10 a.m. to noon at the Westbank Lions Community Centre. This free program for people 60 and over in reasonably good health is an opportunit­y to have fun and make new friends while increasing your strength and flexibilit­y and learning about health-related topics. Indoor market Peachland Indoor Artisan Market runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Peachland Visitor Centre at 5684 Beach Ave. Scarecrow Festival Third Annual Peachland Scarecrow Festival Celebratio­n goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heritage Park and the gazebo. The Okanagan Cloggers will dance, Papa Thom will perform and Kerry Martinson, the Okanagan Wolfman, will emcee. There will be popcorn and face-painting, guess the weight of the giant pumpkins and pumpkin decorating for kids. See the kokanee Wartch the kokanee spawn at Hardy Falls Regional Park in Peachland. Park interprete­rs will be on location from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to answer questions. This is the final weekend for the program.
