THEFT OF DIRT BIKES Sept. 29 RCMP file: 2018-60940

Kelowna RCMP were called by a family residing on the 400 block of Audubon Court in the Upper Mission after two dirt bikes were stolen from the garage in the middle of the night. Both bikes are 2016 KTMs. VINs for the orange bikes are VBKSXK436-GM136350 and VBKMXC23-6JM053333.

THEFT FROM HOME DEPOT Aug. 15 RCMP file: 2018-49675

A theft occurred Aug. 13 when a male walked out of the Home Depot on Enterprise Way in Kelowna with a drill bit set under his arm. An employee confronted him, but the man walked past and drove away in a gold sedan. The stolen article is a blue Milwaukee drill bit set valued at $400.

GROCERY SHOPLIFTER Oct. 2 RCMP file: 2018-61648

Lake Country RCMP were called to the IGA Marketplac­e located on Main Street just after 12:30 p.m. Oct. 2 when a woman dodged out of the store with two bags of groceries. The woman went through the checkout and when the cashier was bagging her third bag of goods, the suspect grabbed the first two bags and ran out the door to a newer four-door sedan parked near one of the exit doors. She jumped into the driver’s seat and headed south. The suspect is in her late 20s, approximat­ely 5’3” tall and was wearing a sweater and a hat. She is described as having a slim build, blond over black hair and bad teeth.

BREAK AND ENTER AT CONSTRUCTI­ON SITE Oct. 1 RCMP FILE: 2018-61371

A trailer parked at a constructi­on site on the 12000 block of Lake Hill Drive in Lake Country was broken into between the evening of Sept. 30 and early the next morning. The lock on the trailer had been cut and between $10,000 and $15,000 worth of tools had been taken. Most of the tools are labelled with “JBO” in permanent marker. Some of the tools taken include:

— DeWalt hammer drill (set with impact drill) Model BDDCK296M2 s/n 301807 — DeWalt framing nailer Model DCN690M1 — Bosch corded hammer drill Model RBRH540M s/n 712056828

— Bostitch hanging nailer/metal connector (air) MCN150

— Fein oscillatin­g corded multi-tool Model FMM250QSEL.

THEFT OF WATER METERS Sept. 30 RCMP file: 2018-61235

A water meter thief was very busy the night of Sept. 29 or morning of Sept. 30. West Kelowna RCMP received at least four calls from homeowners on the 2700 block of Hewl Road in Lakeview Heights (near Royal LePage Place) whose water meters were missing in the morning. Suspects unscrewed the meters from the faucet and the undergroun­d plastic flex pipes were cut off. The meters are similar to the Hydro Rain models in the photo at left.

THEFT FROM CONSTRUCTI­ON TRUCK Sept. 28 RCMP file: 2018-61394

West Kelowna RCMP were contacted when a white GMC Sierra was broken into between 4 and 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 in West Kelowna. Suspects stole constructi­on equipment worth about $26,000. Items taken include a Trimble TSC3 Data Collector with serial number ES6LD08448, a Trimble SPS985 Rover and a laptop.
