TODAY — Sip and Paint Alcohol Inks on Canvas by Alice Tunnell from 6 to 9 p.m. at Volcanic Hills Estate Winery at 2845 Boucherie Rd. Fee includes a glass of wine or sparkling juice, Yupo paper to experiment on, 6-inch ceramic tile, a 9-by-12-inch canvas and alcohol inks, brushes and other supplies to complete paintings. In this workshop, participan­ts will get a chance to experiment with alcohol inks if they have not had any experience with them, or work on a special technique they want to try. — Drop-In Youth Open Gym at Mar Jok Elementary School Gym. Program runs for Grades 5 to 8 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. and Grades 9 to 12 students from 7:45 to 9 p.m. Drop-in costs $2 or buy a book of 10 tickets for $18 good for all drop-in gym sport programs. — Tai Chi on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Westbank United Church. Membership costs $20 per month and the Tai Chi manual costs $10 with membership. Proceeds from Tai Chi goes to the Westbank United Church.

— Unplug and Play at the Westbank Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Families can turn of their devices and have some old-fashioned fun by bringing their own games or trying out some of the games and puzzles in the library’s collection, including chess, checkers, cribbage, Catan and Seven Wonders. Families Unplug and Play Together runs Wednesday nights. This is a free drop-in event.

— Women’s AA meeting held every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Church at 2600 Hebert Rd. in West Kelowna. Use back entrance.

THURSDAY

— Bridge drop-in from 9:15-11:45 a.m. in Room C at the Westbank Lions Community Centre. This easy-going learning game is for newer and rusty players with less than 20 master points. Participan­ts can come by themselves or bring a partner.They are welcome to ask their bridge coach for assistance, refer to their notes, talk to their table mates and ask the director what to do if they think they have made a mistake. Master points will be issued. This program runs weekly until Dec. 20. Dropin costs $5.

— Walk ‘n’Talk from 10 a.m. to noon at the Westbank Lions Community Centre. This free program for people 60 and over in reasonably good health is an opportunit­y for participan­ts to have fun and make new friends while increasing their strength and flexibilit­y and learning about health-related topics. — Enjoy bonding and play time with your infant at Baby Time from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. at Westbank Library. This free drop-in program features books, circle time, puppets, songs and rhymes for parents and babies 18 months old or younger.

FRIDAY

— Parent-Child Mother Goose program for newborn to four-year olds from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Westbank Library meeting room. Parents will learn fun ways to interact with their children during this two-hour oral early literacy program. Snack time and play time are included in each session. Free program in partnershi­p with The Clubhouse Childcare Centre and funded by the BC Ministry of Children and Family Developmen­t. SATURDAY Spectrum Singers Kelowna and the BC Choral Federation present a choral workshop with Dinah Helgeson from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church at 1162 Hudson Rd. Helgeson will work with the singers, during which time each one will be gently coached so they feel empowered singing by themselves or in a small ensemble.The intent is to explore a sense of vulnerabil­ity and community at the same time. Wentworth Music instrument petting zoo, music crafts and Okanagan Regional Library activities running all afternoon. No tickets necessary. Donations will be accepted with proceeds going to cultural programing within Kelowna.

SUNDAY

The hatch winery celebrates 1233 days in business from 1 to 5 p.m. with a fun event for the family. There will be fried chicken feet, face painting, magic, parrots and tastings of limited release wines. This is a free event; however, donations for food and tasting go to support the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club. The hatch is located at 3225 Boucherie Rd.
