THEFT FROM VEHICLE Nov. 4 RCMP file: 2018-68676 Sometime between 4:30 and 10 p.m. on Nov. 3 the rear window of a black Acura MDX was smashed out while parked on Coronation Avenue near St. Paul Street. The suspect left with some personal items including a Canon Camera, a laptop and about $6000 worth of jewelry. One of the pieces of jewelry stolen was this Tiffany necklace.

THEFT OF SUNGLASSES

Oct. 28 RCMP file: 2018-68381 On Oct. 28, a man entered a store in Kelowna’s Orchard Park Mall and walked out with five pairs of designer sunglasses totalling approximat­ely $3,000 (Tiffany, Versace, Prada, Gucci). The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximat­ely 20-25 years of age and was wearing black clothing, a black L.A. Dodgers ball cap and Adidas flip flops. He has two very distinctiv­e tattoos on his neck; a swallow or bird on the right side and a red and black spider on the left.

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM MAILBOXES

Nov. 7 RCMP file: 2018-69232 At approximat­ely 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 7, two would-be thieves were caught trying to break into the community mailboxes on Mayrus Road in Lake Country. A bit of a scuffle ensued, and the two suspects almost struck the witness with their dark small two-door vehicle while trying to get away, resulting in a broken driver’s side window. The suspects are described as two young males in their late teens to early 20s wearing dark clothes with hoodies and caps. The driver of the car is described as being much bigger than the second suspect. THEFT OF UTILITY TRAILER Nov. 3 RCMP file: 2018-68574 The resident of a home on the 9600 block of Read Road in Lake Country contacted Lake Country RCMP on Nov. 3 to report that sometime overnight a trailer had been taken from the property. The trailer is a black 2011 U-built utility trailer with BC licence plate number UWX 84M.

THEFT OF BEAR STATUE

Nov. 1 RCMP file: 2018-68315 A resident of the 2400 block of Saddleback Way in West Kelowna filed a report with the RCMP after a hand-carved wooden bear statue valued at $600 was taken from her porch sometime between 9 p.m. on Oct. 31 and 5 a.m. the next morning. It is approximat­ely 50 inches tall and weighs 70 pounds.

THEFT FROM SHED

Nov. 4 RCMP file: 2018-68765 Sometime during the last week of October a shed on the 3800 block of Brown Road in West Kelowna was entered and several thousand dollars’ worth of tools were stolen. The thief (thieves) made off with a Jobsite surveying laser, a Makita framing nailer, a Makita impact drill kit, a Makita grinder and a Makita circular saw. No serial numbers are currently available for the tools.
