Trump is wrong about Mexicans

Dear Editor: Mexican people are just great.

For many years, I had my doubts and own personal demons to overcome thinking how unsafe Mexico is with the drug cartels, along with all the movies I saw and news reports I followed.

I finally overcame these demons and my own wrong thinking process with a very recent trip to Los Cabos, Mexico. Finally!

What a great relaxing place to visit. The Mexican people in Los Cabos are very hospitable, super friendly and even so when knowing how very many tourists are. I noticed many tourists never tipping and being rude to bartenders who are making very little. Shame on you if this is you! Probably an ignorant Yankee and not a Canadian.

Los Cabos is a must-visit with excellent affordable excursion choices including riding camels along the ocean, sailboating to sunset time and seeing humpbacks up close during a whale-watching tour. We were also fortunate to attend Cabo Wabo, Sammy Hagar’ s place, with excellent live music and good food.

Plus a little pub place called Drinking Time. Genius!

Everything was on point in costs and more reasonable than Las Vegas, I found. You can also find affordable golf there if you search hard enough.

Try Vidanta in San Jose ... was quite reasonable price-wise and with friendly Canadian marshals and, get this, unlimited free beer with each round. This is unheard of here or in the United States. Beers on most courses here are six dollars or more! Hiccup, ripoff.

Mexican people are just really great! What the heck does Donald Trump know? Nothing. Blaming all of Mexico for the U.S. drug problem is insane. Shame on the American president who needs to go away soon. Please!

Do not be ignorant like I was and head to Los Cabos in March and then thank me later. What a great place to go! Noel Preen Kelowna
