The Yuletide at the Lakeside, traditionally held in December, is switching weekends for 2019.

The third annual holiday-themed craft fair will be held Nov. 2-3 at the resort.

The Lakeside event was first staged in 2017 as an exclusive outdoor event.

“The weather wasn’t favourable, there was a lot of sleet and snow that day, but everyone still had a lot of fun,” said Lakeside in-house events coordinator Erin Moore.

For the second year, it was a combination of indoor and outdoor with ponies and skating offered for the kids outdoors. The indoor show was presented in the new east ballroom, which opened in the fall of 2018.

With a new weekend, Moore said both ballrooms at the Lakeside will be fully utilized, as well as the outdoor area near the lake. Among the invited guests is Santa Claus. The ponies will also return. Admission to the market will be $2 daily. For vendors, their fee will is $157 which includes all taxes, chairs and tables. Registration opened earlier this week and Moore said they are already 50 per cent full.

She is inviting any Okanagan vendors of homemade crafts, woodworking, games, ornaments, gifts, knitting, glassware, jewelry, baking, chocolates and “anything yummy or artsy” to contact her at: erin@rpbhotels.com or phone 250-493-9752.
