Joy forms foundation for Baptist Housing

-

At Baptist Housing, joy is at heart of what we do. Whether we are providing independent living, assisted living, or long-term care, joy is at the root of it all.

Our mission includes providing exceptional holistic care as we assist seniors to experience life well in supportive communities.

We recognize the importance of ensuring our residents’ needs are met in a way that maintains their dignity and fosters their health and happiness.

Our residents become like family and friends who we have the honour of sharing life experiences, laughs, and stories with on a regular basis.

Many of these shared experiences are made possible by the charitable giving of family and friends within our local community.

Over the past few years, our Kelowna residences have been blessed with a range of gifts including blanket warmers, common area wifi, and even new shuttle busses for resident outings.

Every gift is meaningful, no matter the amount.

The gifts we receive directly benefit those we serve; therefore, it brings us tremendous amounts of joy when the generosity of our community goes directly to enhancing our residents’ day-to-day lives.

Our local residences, Mill Creek Village, Smith Creek Village, and Sun Pointe Village have all been honoured to receive Legacy Gifts.

Legacy Giving is an opportunity to make a charitable donation during your lifetime that will be available to Baptist Housing in the future.

Planned giving opportunities can include bequests, gifts of property such as real estate, life insurance and gifts of securities.

Legacy Giving is only one of many ways one can support Baptist Housing.

Another way is through an In Memoriam gift, which is a very special way to celebrate the life of a friend or loved one.

These gifts can be directed towards our Resident’s Fund at the community of the giver’s choice.

Depending on the amount of this gift, one can choose to have their gift directed towards supporting a specific residence, program, or local capital project.

Our hope is that giving from the heart does not have to be complicated, in fact, giving can be as simple as donating funds to Baptist Housing through our website, mailing a cheque, or by giving us a call.

Whether it be a Legacy, In Memoriam, or monetary donation, our residents will reap the positive benefits of our community’s generosity.

From the very beginning, Baptist Housing has relied on the financial generosity of it’s founders, who used their personal financial resources to create Baptist Housing, a non-profit organization that today provides housing and care to over 2,750 seniors throughout British Columbia including more than 560 seniors in the Central Okanagan.

Much like the founders of Baptist Housing, our residents were the pioneers and builders of this wonderful Okanagan region that we call home.

Please consider making a donation to Baptist Housing so together we can spread joy to those who have given so much of themselves to us and to our community.
