Alzheimer webinars

Alzheimer Society of B.C. is urging area residents not to forget about people living with dementia and their caregivers. One way the Alzheimer Society of B.C. is offering support is through free weekly webinars. Tai Chi

Get active with Tai Chi. Masks are mandatory and social distancing is in effect. Intro to Coding Club: First Timers’ Class available online from 5 to 5:30 p.m. through the Okanagan Regional Library. Kids eight to 12 years old can take in this 30-minute meeting and be introduced to the developmen­t platforms and familiariz­e themselves with the coding tools. This class is a prerequisi­te to the Online Coding Club.

The Central Okanagan Hospice

Associatio­n offers a Nutrition and Hydration workshop for caregivers from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. with Noelle Pascoe, registered dietitian, as part of its eight-week virtual Family Caregiver Education series. Pascoe will present informatio­n and practical strategies surroundin­g nutrition and hydration in aging and end of life as it relates to the caregiver. Crossing Creek Community Theatre is holding auditions for actors 18 years and older for its February production of the Carol Burnett Show from 4 p.m. onward at

Powers Creek Community Church at 3718 Glenway Rd. Auditions will be held in 30minute sessions as COVID-19 protocol limits the capacity of the hall. Masks welcome. Health seminar

Grizzli Winery offers a free health seminar with Dr. Alana Hendrickso­n at 1 p.m. as part of its Collectif Series.
