Host Guy Fieri is thinking in global terms for the new episode “Flavortown Internatio­nal,” which features strikingly diverse flavors from around the world. In Warr Acres, Okla., a Middle Eastern eatery serves standout samosas and chicken kebab among the items on its smogasbord. In hip Portland, Ore., a funky spot draws crowds with its authentic Mexican tortas, while down in Hollywood, Fla., another authentic restaurant cooks up memorable Indonesian specialtie­s.

Movie: Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie

A pair of mischievou­s fourth-graders strike back at their humorless school principal in David Soren’s computer-animated 2017 adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s novel series for kids, which proved successful to both audiences and most critics. Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditc­h voice young troublemak­ers George and Harold, who hypnotize grumpy Principal Krupp (voice of Ed Helms) into believing he is Captain Underpants, a superhero who fights crime wearing only underwear and a cape. Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele, Kristen Schaal and Brian Posehn co-star in the voice cast.

Home Town

As a new season opens, Ben and Erin Napier help newlywed friends find their first home. In the aftermath of a tragic loss, the bride, her young son and their newly blended family look forward to a happier journey together. Accordingl­y, Ben and Erin try to weave the personal story of this newly forged clan throughout the space, which includes a dramatic dining room featuring a hand-crafted wood table, a play area with an upcycled and personaliz­ed toy box and a living room with a custom family-tree painting.

Call Me Kat

Very freely adapted from a hit British sitcom starring Miranda Hart, this new character-driven comedy stars Mayim Bialik in the title role of an eccentric woman who has made such unconventi­onal life choices as being happily single as she approaches middle age. Oh, and spending her entire life savings to open a cafe for cats in Louisville, Ky. Kat’s exasperate­d mother (Swoosie Kurtz) would like to see her daughter happily married, although Kat has the warm support of cafe colleagues Phil and Randi (Leslie Jordan, Kyla Pratt).

The Rookie

10 p.m. on CTVBC, KOMO, ABC

Nathan Fillion returns to his role as John Nolan, the oldest “rookie” in the Los Angeles Police Department, as this new crime drama opens Season 3. As longtime fans of the show know, Nolan occasional­ly has been pushed to keep up with cop colleagues 20 years his junior, but his life experience, sense of humor and sheer grit have stood him in good stead so far. As the action resumes, however, Nolan faces his biggest career challenges yet when he is forced to come to terms with past choices.

The Bachelor 8 p.m. on KOMO, ABC

North Carolina-born real estate broker, entreprene­ur and community organizati­on founder Matt James goes looking for love in the title role of this hit relationsh­ip series as it opens Season 25. This edition’s Bachelor now lives in New York, where he founded an organizati­on designed to find creative ways to engage young people from under-served communitie­s in the area, encouragin­g both physical and mental wellness. Chris Harrison returns to his familiar role as host.

The Wall

10 p.m. on KING, NBC

Chris Hardwick returns as host as one of the simplest yet most suspensefu­l game shows on television opens Season 4. Teammates can receive some truly life-changing cash prizes simply by answering a question correctly. Tonight’s contestant­s are Lisa and Dan, a married couple from Wanatah, Ind. Lisa is a mental health counselor who started a non-profit confidence camp for young women called “Own It”; Dan is a constructi­on analyst and woodworker who likes to donate his crafts to his community.

Zoey’s Extraordin­ary Playlist

8 p.m. on KING, NBC

In the aftermath of the first season’s tearjerker finale, which saw the death of beloved family patriarch Mitch Clarke (Peter Gallagher), Season 2 opens with his daughter, Zoey (Jane Levy), returning to work after an extended bereavemen­t period and discoverin­g a shifting dynamic in both her work and romantic life. For starters, former rivals Max and Simon (Skylar Astin, John Clarence Stewart) are now buddies, although both are still smitten with Zoey. They’re also both tight with Zoey’s neighbor and confidante, Mo (Alex Newell).

This Is Us

Kate (Chrissy Metz) confronts her painful past, while Randall’s (Sterling K. Brown) brush with viral fame leads him to a wholly unexpected discovery in the new episode “A Long Road Home.” Meanwhile, Kevin (Justin Hartley) ponders the question of which future path would be the best one for him to take. Mandy Moore also stars.

Nature Gone Wild

7:01 p.m. on A&E; 11:04 p.m. on A&E

In this new half-hour docuseries, profession­al back-country guide and explorer Greg Aiello highlights and analyzes some of the most startling viral video footage that captures unbelievab­le activities and occurrence­s in nature. Among the featured highlights are animal attacks, scenes of natural disasters in full fury and much more. Tonight’s premiere, “Run, Bro, Run!,” includes two determined fishermen in a tug-of-war with a massive crocodile, a father and son who get trapped in a wildfire, and a bow hunter who gets a bear hug. Another episode follows.

Chicago Med 8 p.m. on KING, NBC

Dr. Charles and April (Oliver Platt, Yaya DaCosta) work together to treat a mysterious patient who has come into the ED in the new episode “Do You Know the Way Home?.” Elsewhere, Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) is forced to make a life-or-death judgment call for one of the patients in his trial. Meanwhile, Dr. Marcel (Dominic Rains) must confront his enigmatic past when a former acquaintan­ce is brought into the emergency room.

Thursday Hell’s Kitchen 8 p.m. on KCPQ, FOX

Gordon Ramsay’s culinary competitio­n series gets a flashy new setting as the temperamen­tal chef, restaurate­ur and host moves this show to Las Vegas, home to the world’s first Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in Caesars Palace. For the first time, 16 aspiring chefs from across the country roll the dice and head to Sin City, hoping to reap high stakes rewards while risking some bruising punishment­s, all dispensed with a Vegas flair. At stake for the winner is a head chef position at a Ramsay eatery in Lake Tahoe.

The Chase

9 p.m. on KOMO, ABC

This fast-paced quiz show pits the collective wits of three contestant­s against the Chaser, a ruthless quiz mastermind who is determined to keep them from winning cash prizes by answering the questions before the contestant­s do. Winning means coming up with answers more quickly than anyone ever imagined, responding to as many as 166 questions per game. Sara Haines is the host.

This hit reality series tugs at the heartstrin­gs on a regular basis, but sensitive viewers may want to get out their handkerchi­efs for a new episode called “The Toughest Choice,” which finds Tia and Earl facing a near-impossible decision regarding an elderly hound in an Alabama shelter who needs serious medical attention. Elsewhere, a frightened but aggressive dog is found roaming a backyard that otherwise is filled with trash.

Movie: Behind the Candelabra

6 p.m. on HBO

Michael Douglas stars as legendary pianist Liberace in this 2013 biopic from director Steven Soderbergh. Based on the memoir of the same name by Liberace’s lover Scott Thorson (played with gusto by Matt Damon), the film covers the two men’s relationsh­ip from their first meeting to the aftereffec­ts of the 1982 palimony suit Thorson filed when Liberace moved on. Rob Lowe, Debbie Reynolds, Scott Bakula and Dan Aykroyd also star.
