Gas prices drop one cent

Gasoline prices dropped by one cent a litre on Canada Day. “Improved supply and demand market dynamics for all products over the past two weeks now allow for the price reductions announced today,” said the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission. Furnace and stove oil prices decreased by 2.5 cents per litre; diesel prices dropped by two cent per litre and propane prices can were cut by three cents for Superior Propane, by 3.6 cents for Irving Energy and by three cents for Kenmac Energy Inc. Including adjustment­s for taxes, pump prices for regular unleaded gasoline at selfserve outlets will now range from 119.0 cents to 120.2 cents. The commission’s next scheduled price adjustment will be on July 15, 2015.
