Gas prices drop one cent

Ga­so­line prices dropped by one cent a litre on Canada Day. “Im­proved sup­ply and de­mand mar­ket dy­nam­ics for all prod­ucts over the past two weeks now al­low for the price re­duc­tions an­nounced to­day,” said the Is­land Reg­u­la­tory and Ap­peals Com­mis­sion. Fur­nace and stove oil prices de­creased by 2.5 cents per litre; diesel prices dropped by two cent per litre and propane prices can were cut by three cents for Su­pe­rior Propane, by 3.6 cents for Irv­ing Energy and by three cents for Ken­mac Energy Inc. In­clud­ing ad­just­ments for taxes, pump prices for reg­u­lar un­leaded ga­so­line at self­serve out­lets will now range from 119.0 cents to 120.2 cents. The com­mis­sion’s next sched­uled price ad­just­ment will be on July 15, 2015.
