“He was a really fair coach. He was a real honest, hard-working guy. I think the players knew exactly what he wanted to do and, if you did it, you were rewarded.”

Connor Cameron, Charlottetown Islanders assistant coach, who played for Hulton in Kingston

“We believe that we have a lot of kids at the cusp of greatness as hockey players and we’re looking for the right guy to get the most and develop these kids. We think we’ve got the right guy in Jim Hulton.”

Geoff Boyle, Charlottetown Islanders governor, one of the team’s owner and a member of the team’s hockey committee.

“I’m big on structure, discipline and accountability. Those will be three words that we kind of incorporate in a lot of different elements.”

Jim Hulton.

“I think his message is pretty clear. He wants the players to succeed.”

Assistant captain Kameron Kielly.

“Today is an important day for the franchise. We are looking to establish ourselves as a top franchise in the CHL and winning is a big part of that.”

Craig Foster, president of operations.
