Po­lice try­ing to sort out shoot­ing with for­mer CNN an­chor’s hus­band

Po­lice are try­ing to sort out a fa­tal shoot­ing at an mo­tel in­volv­ing a for­mer CNN an­chor and her for­mer CNN re­porter hus­band dur­ing an al­leged rob­bery at­tempt.

Al­bu­querque po­lice spokesman Tan­ner Tix­ier (ti­hSHAY) said Thurs­day the shoot­ing that left one man dead is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated as a homi­cide.

Lynne Rus­sell says her hus­band, Chuck de Caro, and another man ex­changed gun­fire af­ter the man en­tered their room at a Mo­tel 6 on Al­bu­querque’s western edge and de­manded jew­elry. Rus­sell tells The As­so­ci­ated Press her hus­band was shot three times and is re­cov­er­ing at a hos­pi­tal. She told CNN on Thurs­day he was do­ing bet­ter.

Al­bu­querque po­lice have not re­lease names of those in­volved, and no ar­rests have been made.
