Machinthesand made it three wins in a row after claiming the feature race Sunday at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Norris Rogers was in the bike for trainer Hughie Murphy and the ownership group of Noonan Holdings Ltd., Russell and Karen Noonan. The time of the mile was 1:56.1.

Oh To Be Me (Gary Chappell) was second with Outside The Wire ( Jason Hughes) third.

Corey MacPherson had a hat trick on the 11-dash program, winning with Goodmorningdiva for owner-trainer Frank Banks, Summerside; Useful Hanover for owner Jason Sherry, Kensington; and Eastcoast Down in 1:57.4 for a new record on the pacer for Gordon Ross, Clifton Royal, N.B.

Chappell had a driving double with scores aboard Acton O So Royal for conditioner Colleen Chappell and opened up the afternoon with a visit to victory lane with Lorne Valley Ricki for Barry Peter MacLeod, Cardigan.

Racing returns Sunday at 1 p.m. featuring the Governor’s Plate eliminations.

D GS Camme looked ready for prime time.

The pacer, who was making only his third start of 2015, wired the top class in a dazzling 1:54.4 Saturday at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park. Gilles Barrieau was in the bike for trainer Jackie Matheson and the ownership group of Tom Clark, Ron Matheson, Quentin and Hal Bevan, all of Charlottetown.

It was an impressive performance given he raced with broken equipment after the tire blew on the race bike. Big Surf (Marc Campbell) applied some pressure down the backstretch en route to the third panel but he settled for second while Si Semalu ( Jason Hughes) was third. Expect to see this lineup go head-to-head in Governor’s Plate elimination action in Summerside next Sunday.

In other action, Ramblinglily is three-for-three in 2015 after winning the open mares feature in 1:56.1 for driver Walter Cheverie, trainer Allan Jones and his coowner Norman Leger, Shediac, N.B. For All We Know (Gary Chappell) was second with Willow Warrior (Mark Bradley) third. Barrieau had a driving double on the 12-dash card.
