Annual Kelly’s Cross tea party set for Saturday

Another special event in the history of Kelly’s Cross is set for Saturday, July 11.

The annual tea party begins at 2:30 p.m.

The entertainm­ent lineup, taken from the Kelly’s Cross ceilidhs, includes the Centre House band.

As well, a variety of others will be providing entertainm­ent at this free outdoor concert.

There will be games for young and old including a bingo tent, crown and anchor and dunking pool.

Other activities include a craft and home baking table, kids games and face painting.

Tickets for the major lottery will be on sale with prizes of $500, $200 and $100.

Meals will be served in the Kelly’s Cross Community Centre starting at 3:30 p.m. and take outs will be available.

The centre is wheelchair accessible.

An old fashioned cake auction will be held at 6 p.m.

The day wraps up with a dance in the community centre beginning at 9 p.m.

Music will be by Kendall Docherty and Band.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
