The fu­neral for Mark Greenan, of Char­lot­te­town, was held on Mon­day, June 22, 2015 from Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home to St. Pius X Church, Char­lot­te­town. The con­cel­e­brated fu­neral mass was of­fered by Rev­erend Eric Dunn as chief cel­e­brant and homilist. He was as­sisted by Rev­erend Mau­rice Praught. The first les­son was pro­claimed by aunt, Mar­got Lamphier-McGuire, and the sec­ond les­son was pro­claimed by cousin, Kacey Lamphier. The prayers of in­ter­ces­sion were of­fered by Mae Tay­lor. The fu­neral mass was sung by St. Pius X fu­neral choir un­der the di­rec­tion of Eileen Flana­gan. The or­gan­ist was Karen Power. Dur­ing the fu­neral, the choir sang the en­trance hymn, Here I Am Lord, the psalm, To You O Lord I Lift My Soul, the com­mu­nion hymn, Some­thing Which Is Known, and the re­ces­sional hymn, Lord Of All Hope­ful­ness. The of­fer­tory hymn, Be Not Afraid, and the med­i­ta­tion hymn, For Those Tears I Died, were ren­dered by soloist, Roger Do­iron. The pall­bear­ers were close friends, Mor­gan MacQuar­rie, Greg Holmes, Joey Smith, Colin McAu­lay, Kenny MacKin­non, David Greenan, James Lamphier and Dana John­ston. Among those at­tend­ing the fu­neral liturgy were rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Is­land View Hous­ing Co-op. The in­ter­ment took place in the Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery, where Fa­ther Dunn held the grave­side ser­vice.
