The funeral for J. Darlyene Harrington of Charlottet­own and formerly of Spring Valley, was held Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel, Kensington where the service was conducted at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Margie Fagan. The Gospel was read by Pastor Matt McGonnell. The eulogy was given by Cheryl Stead. The poem You Meant So Much to Me was read by Christina MacLeod and the poem She is Gone was read by Bonnie Dover. During the service, the selections In The Arms of an Angel, I Hope You Dance, God Will Take Care of You, and When I Get Where I Am Going were played. The prelude and postlude selections were played by her nephew, Dale Harrington. Attending the funeral were a group of her close friends; present and retired staff of Charlottet­own Rural High School; her sister Shawna Johnston’s nursing school classmates; nursing staff of Prince County Hospital; and members of the Spring Valley WI. Urn bearer was Alan Cotton. Flowerbear­ers were Norma Wall, Heather Stead, Bonnie Rogerson and Cheryl Hammill. Interment was in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Irishtown.
