The funeral for Kathleen Josephine Larter was held on Monday, July 6, 2015 from Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel where the service was conducted by Reverend Barry King. Words of remembranc­e were shared by daughter, Judy MacDonald, and granddaugh­ter, Brenda MacDonald. The organist was Leslie Hiscott. During the service, Debbie and Shirley Moore sang In The Sweet By and By and I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen. The Irish Funeral Poem was read by Denise MacDonald-Vail. A reading, Close the Gate, was read by Tracey Huggan and There Is No Death was read by Reverend King. The honorary pallbearer­s were Linda MacDonald, Reggie Doucette, Weston Axworthy, James McGlinchey, Tom MacCaull, Ronnie Ramsay, Beverley Ramsay, Marlene Cummings, Cecil Hurry, Myron MacQuarrie, Edward Rice, Randy MacDonald, Walter MacKinnon, Gordon Aten, Dell Moore, Jeremy Bell, Kathy Mutch, Mary Matthews, Lorraine Emery, Nancy Oakes, Ruth Curtis, Gary MacDonald, Peter MacAleer, Laverne MacGuigan, Joe Daniels Jr., Bonnie Woodside, David Ramsay, Allister Cummings, Billy Coles, Orville Curtis, Dean MacQuarrie, Hazel Rice, Adriana Curtis, Darryl Matheson, Debbie Moore, Jake Bell, Winston Maund, Heath Johnson, Angela Gallant, Ivan Proude, Wesley Curtis and Tom Ramsay. Pallbearer­s were Jody Doucette, Jason Doucette, Michael John Larter, Wayne Vail, Cyrus MacDonald, Wade Laybolt, Louis Soucy, John Fraser and Darryl Huggan. Flowerbear­ers were Katlyne Axworthy, Regan MacDonald-Vail and Megan Larter. Those attending the funeral service included members of the South Milton Women’s Institute. Interment took place in Highfield Cemetery.
