Workshops

Beekeeping workshops are July 9-10, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Farm Centre, Charlottetown. The P.E.I. Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and the P.E.I. Beekeepers' Association have partnered to offer two separate workshops to P.E.I. beekeepers: basic beekeeping information to new (beginning) beekeepers on July 9 and a more advanced Integrated pest management workshop is July 10 for beekeepers who have some experience keeping honey bees. Anyone wishing to take the workshop on July 10 (IPM) must have at least one year's experience keeping honey bees or will have taken the beginner beekeeper workshop on July 9. If the interest exceeds available seats, a waiting list will be created. The P.E.I. Beekeepers' Association will be providing a barbecue for lunch during the workshops.
