1 The Astronaut Wives Club

9 p.m. on (ABC-B)

Some new astronauts’ wives enter the picture as the Mercury missions give way to the start of the Gemini project in the new episode “Liftoff.” Among them: Susan Borman and Jane Conrad (respective­ly played by guest stars Antonia Bernath and Haley Strode). The situation signals changes for some of the couples, particular­ly Trudy and Gordon Cooper (Odette Annable, Bret Harrison), and Marge and Deke Slayton (Erin Cummings, Kenneth Mitchell).

9 p.m. on (FOX-R) No engaged couple should count on being able to use the potential explosive in the new episode “It’s the Wedding Cake Bomb!” for their nuptials. The confection and its contents are primed to slime anyone nearby, as contestant­s have to answer questions correctly or risk detonating the cake. Host Tom Papa stands by as the participan­ts try to avoid leaving the game covered in icing ... and, in this case, perhaps a bride or nament as well.

3 Wayward Pines

10 p.m. on (FOX-R) Who blew up Main Street? That’s the mystery for Ethan (Matt Dillon) as he tries to determine who’s responsibl­e for the explosion that seriously injured two Wayward Pines residents in the ironically titled new episode “The Friendlies­t Place on Earth.” Harold (Reed Diamond) decides not to follow through with plans he had with Kate (Carla Gugino). Nurse Pam (Melissa Leo) conducts a probe to find out if any of the locals’ activities have been concealed.

4 Aquarius

10 p.m. on (NBC-B), (NBC-D) Two very different acquaintan­ces of Hodiak (David Duchovny), a priest and a prostitute, may be able to lend him different kinds of assistance with his case in the new episode “Sick City.” With his career on the upswing, Ken (Brian F. O’Byrne) reassesses everyone and everything in his life.

5 Hannibal

11 p.m. on (NBC-B), (NBC-D) Florence has proven a great getaway spot for Hannibal and Bedelia (Mads Mikkelsen, Gillian Anderson), but their time there is almost up in the new episode “Dolce.” Unlike many other tourists, Hannibal may not be destined to leave quietly. Jack (Laurence Fishburne) wonders if he can trust Will (Hugh Dancy). Mason Verger (guest star Joe Anderson) becomes the target of his sister Margot (guest star Katharine Isabelle) and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas).

11:01 p.m. on (A&E) A new episode called “White Collar Fraud” follows members of the Florida Department of Financial Services’ Auto Fraud Squad as they prepare to move against a chiropract­ic insurance fraud ring, after spending a year building a case against its key players.
