The funeral for Harry P. Joostema, of Springfield, was held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel, Kensington, where the service was conducted at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. William Dean. Family remembrances were shared by his daughter, Irene Hickey, and sister-in-law, Frieda Campbell. The solo, The Holy City, was rendered by Juliana Elsinga accompanied by pianist, Jennifer MacDonald. Congregational hymns were Morning Has Broken and Amazing Grace. Organist was Bonnie LaFrance. Pallbearers were Harry Elsinga, Martin Elsinga, Peter Elsinga, Bev Haslam, Ids Lycklama a Nyeholt and Scott Haslam. Flowerbearers were Gavin Hickey, James Hickey and Harrison Joostema. Interment was in St. Elizabeth’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Springfield, with Rev. Margie Fagan and Rev. William Dean officiating.
