Fundraiser A pan­cake break­fast is Satur­day July 11, 7:30-10 a.m., at St. Stephen’s Church Hall #1612 Route 101 in Ir­ish­town, with sausages, pan­cakes muffins, bis­cuits, cin­na­mon rolls, cheese, tea/cof­fee. There will also be a sale of home baked good­ies. Ad­mis­sion is adults, $7; chil­dren (six to 12), $3. Tra­cadie Lions Sum­mer Sun­day Brunch is ev­ery Sun­day un­til Aug. 30, 10-11:30 a.m., with pan­cakes, sausage, beans, toast, fruit, cheese, jams, tea, cof­fee, juice and fresh baked goods. Cost: $6 per adult, $4 per child (preschool­ers free), cash and debit at the door. All pro­ceeds go to­wards on­go­ing com­mu­nity sup­port projects. It will be held at the Tra­cadie Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, Sta­tion Road Tra­cadie Cross. Spe­cial ser­vices Spring Brook Sol­diers Mon­u­ments will be hold­ing their 95th an­nual me­mo­rial ser­vice on Sun­day, July 12, 2:30 p.m. The ser­vice will be held this year with­out an out­door sound sys­tem; all are in­vited to join in­side the Ged­die Me­mo­rial Pres­by­te­rian Church for the ser­vice. Rev. Margie Fa­gan, rec­tor of the Angli­can Parish of New Lon­don will of­fi­ci­ate. All all welcome.

The an­nual Bru­denell Pioneers Me­mo­rial Ser­vice, set for Sun­day, July 12, 3 p.m., on Bru­denell Is­land (n case of rain, the ser­vice and get to­gether will be at 3 p.m. at the old Bru­denell School on the road to Bru­denell Point). The guest speaker will be Tiber Falzett, re­search as­so­ciate with the In­sti­tute of Is­land Stud­ies, UPEI. As part of the ser­vice, a me­mo­rial wreath will also be laid. A pic­nic will fol­low on the Bru­denell Pro­vin­cial Park grounds, ad­ja­cent to the is­land. Ev­ery­one is welcome to both the ser­vice and the pic­nic.
