WILLIAMS, Wade Joseph
The funeral for Wade Joseph Williams, of Georgetown, devoted husband to Cathy (Lavandier) Williams, was held on Monday, June 29, 2015, from Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home to St. James Catholic Church, Georgetown. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Tim Broderick. Readings were proclaimed by Claranne Lavandier and Frank Lavandier. Prayers of intercession were offered by Jonathan Cotton. The funeral mass was sung by St. James Choir, under the direction of Claudia Batchilder. The entrance hymn was In The Garden; the offertory hymn was I Will Never Forget You My People; communion hymn was Amazing Grace; final farewell was Songs of The Angel; and the recessional hymn was Be Not Afraid. Among the choir was guitarist Barry O’Brien and fiddler J.J. Chaisson. The altar server was Wilfred McQuillan. The pallbearers were Lewis Lavandier, Mark King, Darcy Burley, Hubert MacIsaac, Tim Mair, Joey Clory, Bob Hughes and Jeffrey Haywood. The honorary pallbearers were Tonya Cameron, Bernadine MacAulay, Kevin Campbell, Dolores Johnston, David Butler and Kim Miller. Among those attending the service were staff of Beck’s Home Furnishings, management and staff of Department of Transportation Infrastructure Energy, mayor and council of Georgetown, staff of Town Hall, Georgetown, staff of Public Works, Georgetown, mayor and council of Montague and management and staff of the City of Charlottetown. Bagpipes were played by Matt MacLaine while leading the procession to the grave. The committal service took place in the St. James Parish Cemetery, Georgetown.
