The fu­neral for Wade Joseph Wil­liams, of Georgetown, de­voted hus­band to Cathy (La­vandier) Wil­liams, was held on Mon­day, June 29, 2015, from Fer­gu­son Lo­gan Mon­tague Fu­neral Home to St. James Catholic Church, Georgetown. The fu­neral mass was cel­e­brated by Fr. Tim Brod­er­ick. Read­ings were pro­claimed by Claranne La­vandier and Frank La­vandier. Prayers of in­ter­ces­sion were of­fered by Jonathan Cot­ton. The fu­neral mass was sung by St. James Choir, un­der the di­rec­tion of Claudia Batchilder. The en­trance hymn was In The Gar­den; the of­fer­tory hymn was I Will Never For­get You My Peo­ple; com­mu­nion hymn was Amaz­ing Grace; fi­nal farewell was Songs of The An­gel; and the re­ces­sional hymn was Be Not Afraid. Among the choir was gui­tarist Barry O’Brien and fid­dler J.J. Chais­son. The al­tar server was Wil­fred McQuil­lan. The pall­bear­ers were Lewis La­vandier, Mark King, Darcy Bur­ley, Hu­bert MacIsaac, Tim Mair, Joey Clory, Bob Hughes and Jeffrey Hay­wood. The honorary pall­bear­ers were Tonya Cameron, Ber­na­dine MacAu­lay, Kevin Camp­bell, Dolores John­ston, David But­ler and Kim Miller. Among those at­tend­ing the ser­vice were staff of Beck’s Home Fur­nish­ings, man­age­ment and staff of Depart­ment of Trans­porta­tion In­fra­struc­ture Energy, mayor and coun­cil of Georgetown, staff of Town Hall, Georgetown, staff of Public Works, Georgetown, mayor and coun­cil of Mon­tague and man­age­ment and staff of the City of Char­lot­te­town. Bag­pipes were played by Matt MacLaine while lead­ing the pro­ces­sion to the grave. The com­mit­tal ser­vice took place in the St. James Parish Ceme­tery, Georgetown.
