Treble with Girls taking the Stage in Crapaud
Parish Productions will host Treble with Girls in concert tonight at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Crapaud.
The concert gets underway at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:45 pm. Tickets are $12 per person and are available from Salon 22 in Crapaud, 902-658-2878, Charles Sherren, 902-658-2648, Connie MacKinnon, 902-6582333, or at the door.
This versatile and gifted group of Island performers have been charming audiences all over P.E.I. and have quickly become favourites with a repertoire that consists of Celtic, country, folk, fiddle and original songs.
Comprised of Jolee Patkai, Maxine MacLennan, Sheila MacKenzie and Norman Stewart, the group recently reached the regional finals of the CBC Searchlight contest with their Ceilidh Song written by Patkai and MacLennan.
Their performances are highlighted by their fun and easy down-home stage presence, humour and outstanding harmony vocals.
“We are pleased and delighted to welcome these talented Island performers to our venue,” says one of the concert organizers in a release. “It will be an evening of great entertainment.”
Proceeds from this concert will be used for the upkeep and maintenance of this heritage church designed in 1901 by renowned Island architect William Critchlow Harris.
The church is located on the Trans-Canada Highway at 391 Nelson St., Crapaud. Admission includes a light lunch at intermission and a ballot for door prizes.
