The Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series is in full throttle for the 2015 season every Sunday evening until Aug. 30.

For this Sunday, the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel (CDCPMC) has announced the third of nine shows will feature Jacinthe LaForest, Caroline Savoie, Amy and Rachel Beck and The Ross Family at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall.

The concert gets underway at 7 p.m.

LaForest, recipient of the Singer of the Year Award during the first Gala de la chanson of Prince Edward Island in 2006, is a journalist, singer and professional visual artist. She also wrote the French lyrics of the Acadian National Anthem, the Ave Maris Stella.

Savoie’s powerful voice, distinctive tone and timbre, her vocal control and her disarming naturalness are all part of her unique signature.

“A ray of sunshine, genuine, sparkling, dazzling, brilliant, a rare find - these are but a few of the praises bestowed by the public, the media and peers from the music industry on this insanely charismatic 20-year old Acadian artist who leaves no one indifferent in her wake,” says a release.

It’s hard to beat the harmonic intuition of sisters, and the Becks, who began singing together around the family piano in Montague, now now share their folksy pop with audiences across eastern Canada. They are also celebrating the release of their multi award-nominated sophomore album, “Run”.

Growing up in a blend of Acadian and Scottish influences, Stephanie Ross (vocals, guitar, dance), Danielle Ross (vocals, fiddle, dance) and Johnny Ross (piano) create the Ross Family, a trio that plays traditional tunes and step dance together. The Ross Family is known from tip to tip of the Island for energetic performances, and 2006, the group has presented the Ross Family Ceilidh in Stanley Bridge.

The doors of the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel) will open at 6:15 p.m. The public is invited to come early because the seating is limited.

Spectators will be able to buy 50/50 tickets and the canteen will be open. Admission for the concert, which is sponsored by the Wellington Legion and Arsenault’s Fish Mart, is $10 for adults, $8 for members and $4 for students. Admission is free for preschoolers. The 2015 lineup is at www.cooperativeculturelledemontcarmel.com.
