Sharon Cameron is deputy minister; Sandy MacDonald leaves
Sharon Cameron will become Prince Edward Island’s new deputy minister of the Department of Workforce and Advanced Learning on July 20.
The provincial government made the announcement Wednesday.
The position became available when Sandy MacDonald became Holland College’s vicepresident and chief learning officer.
Cameron recently served as chief executive officer of the Workers Compensation Board. Prior to that she was deputy minister of Social Services and Seniors. She has served as principal at Stonepark Intermediate School in Charlottetown.
Luanne Gallant, who currently serves as director of corporate services, will serve as the board’s acting CEO.
