Peace­fully with his fam­ily by his side af­ter a short bat­tle with can­cer at his home in Peakes Sta­tion on Satur­day, July 18, 2015 of David Mer­lin Mac­Don­ald. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Gail (nee A’Hearn), his chil­dren, Kayla Mac­Don­ald, Ft. Au­gus­tus, Ash­ley Mac­Don­ald, Char­lot­te­town, Daniel Mac­Don­ald (Chelsey Flana­gan) Pisquid and Luke Mac­Don­ald, Peakes Sta­tion. Proud Poppy of Sawyer, Mav­er­ick, Josie and Talon Mac­Don­ald. Brother of Ron­ald Mac­Don­ald, Ded­ham USA, Mary Mac­Don­ald, Char­lot­te­town, Linda (Cle­tus) Dunn, Al­ber­ton, Don­alda (Bob) Bertling, Delhi, Ont., Heather (David de­ceased) Vou­tour, Parker (Brenda Lee), Peakes, Wanda ( John) MacDougall and Roberta “Bobby” Mac­Don­ald of Char­lot­te­town. Brother-in-law of Gary (Shirley) A’Hearn, Ed­mon­ton, Em­mett (Sh­ery) A’Hearn, Hal­i­fax, Paula (Rodd) Mathe­son, O’Leary, Jimmy (Ida) A’Hearn, Summerside, Nancy (Roy) Costain, Tignish, Sally (Tom) Costain, Summerside and John (Gail) A’Hearn, Tignish. Son of the late Earl and Eileen Mac­Don­ald and son-in-law of Laura A’Hearn Kil­bride, the late Em­mett A’Hearn and the late Kevin Kil­bride. He was also pre­de­ceased by his brother Justin and sis­ter-in-law Holly A’Hearn. Trans­ferred from the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home to St. Cuth­bert’s Church, St. Teresa for vis­it­ing hours on Tues­day from 6 to 9 p.m. The fu­neral will be held on Wed­nes­day with fu­neral mass from St. Cuth­bert’s Church at 10:30 a.m. In­ter­ment will fol­low in the parish ceme­tery.
