Following is the second in a series featuring Prince Edward Islanders attending the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles from Saturday to Aug. 2. Today, Special Olympics P.E.I. athlete John Paynter, a member of Team Canada’s athletics squad, is featured. A feature story on tenpin bowler Jenna Smith of Ellerslie will be published on Saturday. Stanley Bridge native Dr. Joanne Reid, a graduate of Kensington Intermediate-Senior High School, is working at the World Games as a doctor and a story will be published in the coming days.
