It is with great sad­ness the fam­ily of Jane Fearon, of Rothe­say, wife of the late Robert A. Fearon, an­nounce, af­ter a brief ill­ness, her pass­ing which oc­curred on Wed­nes­day, July 22, 2015 at her res­i­dence. Born on Oc­to­ber 19, 1935 in Char­lot­te­town, P.E.I., she was a daugh­ter of the late Ed­ward and Eileen (MacEach­ern) Praught. Jane was a lov­ing mother to Va­lerie Fearon ( John), Paul Fearon (Tanya) and Nancy Power (Mark), grand­mother to Dy­lan, Dana-lee (Matt), Abi­gail, Olivia, Grace and Tay­lor, and great­grand­mother to Oliver. Her grand­chil­dren were her pride and joy, as she was very in­volved in their lives. Aside from her par­ents and hus­band she was also pre­de­ceased by her brother Irv­ing. Jane had a pas­sion for nurs­ing and grad­u­ated from Char­lot­te­town Hos­pi­tal School of Nurs­ing as a Reg­is­tered Nurse in 1957. Though she started her ca­reer as a pe­di­atric nurse, she worked for 25 years spe­cial­iz­ing in men­tal health on the Chil­dren’s team in Saint John be­fore re­tire­ment in 1999. Although there will be no vis­i­ta­tion, friends are in­vited to at­tend a Mass of Chris­tian Burial, which will be cel­e­brated from Our Lady of Per­pet­ual Help Church, 31 Gon­dola Point Road, Rothe­say on Satur­day, July 25 at 11 a.m. In­ter­ment will take place in Peo­ple’s Catholic Ceme­tery, Char­lot­te­town, P.E.I., at a later date. Ar­range­ments are un­der the care and di­rec­tion of Bre­nan’s Fu­neral Home, 111 Par­adise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
