The fam­ily of Amy Whalen an­nounces her pass­ing on July 25th, 2015, age 78. She is sur­vived by her hus­band Vic Whalen; daugh­ter Sharon An­drew- hus­band Kirk An­drew, chil­dren Jackie, Brandy, Joe; son Jim Whalen- wife Dayle Whalen, chil­dren Luke and An­drew; son Dave Whalen- wife Anila Sri­vas­tava;Jack Levstek (brother)wife Dawn Levstek, chil­dren Michael, Karen and Doug. She was pre­de­ceased by her par­ents Ja­cob and Mary Levstek. Amy was born March 31st, 1937 in Kirk­land Lake On­tario where she grew up. She moved to Sud­bury, On­tario and be­came a sec­re­tary and worked for two years then met Vic. They mar­ried Au­gust 31st, 1957 and lived in On­tario un­til 1965 when they moved to Saska­toon where she raised her fam­ily. Amy and Vic were long­stand­ing mem­bers of St. Philip Neri Parish. Some of Amy's fa­vorite pas­times and hob­bies were cook­ing, bak­ing, gar­den­ing, trav­el­ing, bowl­ing and a se­ri­ous amount of card play­ing and cof­fee with her friends. She loved camp­ing and fish­ing, look­ing af­ter her fam­ily was her great­est plea­sure. Play­ing cards and beat­ing them was also great fun for her. Her friends were ex­tremely im­por­tant to her as well. Me­mo­rial do­na­tions may be made in Amy's name to Sun­ny­side Nurs­ing Home or Alzheimer So­ci­ety of Saskatchewan. The Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be held on Thurs­day July 20th, 10:30 a.m. St. Philip's Neri Church (1902 Mun­roe Ave. Saska­toon, SK).
