The family of Amy Whalen announces her passing on July 25th, 2015, age 78. She is survived by her husband Vic Whalen; daughter Sharon Andrew- husband Kirk Andrew, children Jackie, Brandy, Joe; son Jim Whalen- wife Dayle Whalen, children Luke and Andrew; son Dave Whalen- wife Anila Srivastava;Jack Levstek (brother)wife Dawn Levstek, children Michael, Karen and Doug. She was predecease­d by her parents Jacob and Mary Levstek. Amy was born March 31st, 1937 in Kirkland Lake Ontario where she grew up. She moved to Sudbury, Ontario and became a secretary and worked for two years then met Vic. They married August 31st, 1957 and lived in Ontario until 1965 when they moved to Saskatoon where she raised her family. Amy and Vic were longstandi­ng members of St. Philip Neri Parish. Some of Amy's favorite pastimes and hobbies were cooking, baking, gardening, traveling, bowling and a serious amount of card playing and coffee with her friends. She loved camping and fishing, looking after her family was her greatest pleasure. Playing cards and beating them was also great fun for her. Her friends were extremely important to her as well. Memorial donations may be made in Amy's name to Sunnyside Nursing Home or Alzheimer Society of Saskatchew­an. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday July 20th, 10:30 a.m. St. Philip's Neri Church (1902 Munroe Ave. Saskatoon, SK).
