Met­ros’ of­fence fires up in third

The Sher­wood Met­ros scored three times in the third pe­riod and dou­bled the Morell Fly­ers 42 in Razzy’s P.E.I. Ju­nior C Hockey League ac­tion Mon­day at Cody Banks Arena.

The game was tied 1-1 af­ter two pe­ri­ods un­til goals by Sher­wood’s Tan­ner Jamieson, Jake Arse­nault and Bran­don Adams (1-1) broke the con­test wide open.

Morell’s Robert Smith added a late goal. Matt MacKinnon net­ted Morell’s ear­lier goal in the sec­ond frame.

Zac Mella scored in the first frame for Sher­wood, which out­shot Morell 33-30 but went 0-for3 on the power play. Morell had one goal in three chances with the ex­tra man.

Blake Arse­nault earned the win over Keaton Far­rell.
