Metros’ offence fires up in third

The Sherwood Metros scored three times in the third period and doubled the Morell Flyers 42 in Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League action Monday at Cody Banks Arena.

The game was tied 1-1 after two periods until goals by Sherwood’s Tanner Jamieson, Jake Arsenault and Brandon Adams (1-1) broke the contest wide open.

Morell’s Robert Smith added a late goal. Matt MacKinnon netted Morell’s earlier goal in the second frame.

Zac Mella scored in the first frame for Sherwood, which outshot Morell 33-30 but went 0-for3 on the power play. Morell had one goal in three chances with the extra man.

Blake Arsenault earned the win over Keaton Farrell.
