Wendy passed away peace­fully in the lov­ing arms of her hus­band Larry on Jan­uary 4, 2016, at the age of 55 years, in the Prince County Hos­pi­tal, Sum­mer­side, P.E.I. Cher­ished wife of Larry Oliver for over 31 years, Wendy is the beloved daugh­ter of Mau­reen Hoar, beloved dad Robert Hoar, and step­mother Al­ida Bay­ers. Wendy will also be for­ever missed by her brothers Jef­frey Bay­ers, Scott Jones and Michael (Deb­bie) Hoar, as well as her neph­ews Ja­cob Bay­ers and Sam Hoar, niece Syd­ney Hoar and many cousins. She was pre­de­ceased by her father Wen­dell Bay­ers, her grand­par­ents Lau­rie and Mar­garet An­der­son, and Hildred and Harry Bay­ers. Wendy was born at Twin Oaks Hos­pi­tal on May 13, 1960 and will be re­mem­bered by many in Musquodoboit Har­bour for her love of horses. She had a short but ful­fill­ing ca­reer as an An­i­mal Tech­ni­cian spe­cial­iz­ing in anes­the­si­ol­ogy at the Univer­sity of P.E.I. Ve­teri­nary Col­lege. Her love for all God’s crea­tures was ev­i­dent to all who knew her. Spe­cial thanks to Wendy’s fam­ily physi­cian, Dr. Ge­orge Car­ruthers, and the doc­tors and nurses at Prince County Hos­pi­tal, es­pe­cially Dr. Doug Car­mody for their ex­cel­lent care and com­pas­sion. A fu­neral ser­vice will be held on Mon­day, Jan­uary 11, at First United Church, Musquodoboit Har­bour, N.S. at 2 p.m. Me­mo­rial do­na­tions in Wendy’s mem­ory to the Prince County Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.
