A meeting to discuss sponsoring a Syrian refugee family in the Kensington area will be held Jan. 18.

This is an exploratory meeting to gauge the level of interest for the idea and to create a committee to move the plan ahead.

Anyone with an interest in making a difference for a Syrian family is encouraged to attend.

The meeting will be held at the Lion’s Club in Kensington beginning at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. In the case of bad weather, the meeting will take place at the same time and location one week later on Jan. 25.

For more information, contact Blake Hooff at 902-836-1095 or Bennett at 902-886-3201.
