Spotlight Theatre Company, School of Performing Arts, has announced it will be holding its Charlottetown acting and musical theatre classes for children and teens at The Guild in Charlottetown for the next 12 weeks.

With support from The Guild, Spotlight is able to host the programs at this location, which provides space to encourage creative expression and gives students the opportunity to learn in a professional theatre environment.

The Guild is committed to providing members of the arts and culture community a creative space to flourish, and Charlottetown Spotlight students are excited to have this support.

Its programs offer hands-on learning experiences for all ages. Students have opportunities to showcase their skills through various performances and two large showcases each year.

Spotlight believes that performing arts education is important in all stages of life, not only to develop performance skills but to assist in the development of life skills, including confidence building, creative expression, commitment, leadership, public speaking and teamwork. It’s also an exciting opportunity to meet new friends and have fun.
