Police say info about men taking photos of mall was not for public
VANCOUVER — Vancouver police say information describing three suspicious looking Middle Eastern men taking photos in a downtown mall should never have been made public. Chief Adam Palmer made a special address before the media to say there’s no proof that the men committed a crime or that the public is at risk. Still photos from mall surveillance footage began circulating Thursday night after an Internet news and culture publication posted an article saying police were looking to speak with the men. The chief says Vancity Buzz obtained the information from a confidential bulletin shared with police around the province after the Vancouver detachment received a report Tuesday night about the men taking photos of the mall’s entrances and exits.
