Ti­tan wins first of two week­end games with Isles

Reilly Pickard made 36 saves Fri­day as the Acadie-Bathurst Ti­tan de­feated the Char­lot­te­town Is­lan­ders 4-3.

Felix Boivin scored the win­ner on a se­cond pe­riod power play for the host Ti­tan in Que­bec Ma­jor Ju­nior Hockey League play. Daniil Miro­manov scored twice and Vladimir Kuznetsov once in the win.

Bradley Kennedy, Mitchell Bal­mas and Jake Cough­ler replied for Char­lot­te­town with as­sists to Filip Ch­lapik, Sa­muel Blais, Filip Ryd­strom, Kameron Kielly and Keith Get­son.

Ma­son McDon­ald made 26 saves in the loss.

Char­lot­te­town was 1-for-3 on the power play while the Ti­tan was 1-for-2. The game was tied 11 af­ter the first while AcadieBathurst led 4-3 af­ter 40 min­utes.

The Ti­tan (18-23-3-2) and the Is­lan­ders (18-22-5-2) meet again Sun­day at 3 p.m. in Char­lot­te­town.
