Festival of food is back for ninth year

Downtown Charlottet­own’s winter dining festival, WinterDine, will run for the next three weekends and this year the dining promotion, A Toast to Winter, features 19 downtown restaurant­s.

Participat­ing restaurant­s will offer a three-course meal, designed specifical­ly for WinterDine by some of Charlottet­own’s most creative chefs, at either a $28 or $38 price point per person. There is also an online contest for a chance to win a $50 gift card from one of the WinterDine 2016 restaurant­s.

“We are very excited to be hosting this wonderfull­y delicious program again this year,” said Dawn Alan, executive director of Downtown Charlottet­own Inc. and WinterDine’s event co-ordinator.

“Whether you’re looking to have a lively dinner out with friends, a romantic meal with that special someone or a family gathering outside of your home, WinterDine makes the perfect night out in downtown Charlottet­own,” she said in a recent news release.

Diners can also use this link to vote for the Winterdine People’s Choice Menu. Last year’s winner was Sims Corner Steakhouse.
