Mayor issues challenge

Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee has issued a toonie challenge to all Island communities and municipal officials. The purpose is to help raise money and awareness for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Society of P.E.I. The challenge comes after Edward ‘Fast Eddy’ Dostaler stopped by City Hall on his cross-country run. Dostaler is raising money for the two causes. Donations will be accepted at City Hall on Queen Street until Thursday, Feb. 3.
