An­nie Gal­lant passed peace­fully, sur­rounded by fam­ily, at Ocean View Manor, East­ern Pas­sage, NS on Jan­uary 28, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Mau­rice Gal­lant, for­merly of St. Pa­trick’s, PEI and Hal­i­fax, NS. An­nie was a lov­ing mother and is sur­vived by her chil­dren San­dra Flem­ming, Dart­mouth, NS; Teresa Stephen­son, Dart­mouth, NS; Au­drey Cum­mings (David), Sur­rey, BC; Marie Gal­lant ( Joseph Ko­vacs), Mis­sion, BC; Joseph Gal­lant (Cindy), Humboldt, Sask; David Gal­lant (Lorele), Hal­i­fax, NS. She was the very proud grand­mother of 17 grand­chil­dren and 11 great­grand­chil­dren, who will miss her greatly. She is also sur­vived by many nieces, neph­ews and friends, who were all ex­tremely im­por­tant to her. Be­sides her hus­band Joseph, An­nie was pre­de­ceased by her par­ents, John and Mar­garet (McKenna) Perry; daugh­ters, Mary and Joanne Fen­rick; sib­lings, Katie Perry, Beatrice MacKin­non, Joseph, Felix, Rita Brown, Mary Blac­quiere and Wil­lie. They are all to­gether once again. An­nie was an avid card player, es­pe­cially bridge. She en­joyed read­ing and knit­ting. She loved to laugh and will be re­mem­bered for her hu­mour, jokes and sto­ry­telling. The fam­ily would like to ex­press their thanks for the won­der­ful care and com­pas­sion re­ceived from the staff at Ocean View Manor. She made many new friends, both staff and res­i­dents, dur­ing her last year of life. An­nie re­turned home to her beloved PEI and is rest­ing at Cen­tral Queen’s Fu­neral Home, 2538 Glas­gow Road, New Glas­gow. Visi­ta­tion will be held on Sun­day, Jan­uary 31, 2016 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. The CWL will hold a prayer ser­vice, prior to the visi­ta­tion, at 2 p.m. Fu­neral mass will be cel­e­brated at St. Anne’s Ro­man Catholic Church, Hope River, on Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 1, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. In­ter­ment in St. Anne’s Ceme­tery.
