Are you a foster candidate? Here are the qualificat­ions needed to be a foster parent in P.E.I. - Must be at least 21, financiall­y stable, a resident of P.E.I. for a minimum of six months, and plan to reside in the province for two years. - Must meet a set of nonnegotia­ble criteria including background checks such as a criminal record check and child protection record check. - Need to have adequate housing and a private bedroom. An assessment process will be carried out to determine if the applicant meets the required qualificat­ions.
