Feast Day of St. Anne and St. Joachim Pilgrimage

On Friday, July 29, St. Anne’s Parish, Hope River, P.E.I. will celebrate the Feast Day of our Blessed Virgin Mary’s parents and invites all pilgrims to celebrate holy mass at 10:30 a.m. following a pilgrimage walk to the church.

Light refreshments provided after mass.

The pilgrimage walk starts at Stella Maris Church, North Rustico and proceeds via back roads to St. Anne’s Church.

Participants may choose a long walk or a shorter walk. The long walk is a 9.5-km, two-hour walk leaving Stella Maris Church at 7:30 a.m. (park at Stella Maris Church). The short walk is a 2-km, 30-minute journey joining the long walk on Toronto Road. To attend the shorter walk, assemble in cars at Stella Maris Church at 8:45 a.m. to be led in cars to join the long walk. Parking will be on Toronto Road.

Knights of Columbus will lead walks, provide walk maps, drinking water, road crossing safety and return transportation to parked cars during the walk and after mass.

Walkers are reminded to wear sensible footwear. Rain will cancel the walks only.
