MACDOUGALL, Florence Matilda

The funeral for Florence MacDougall of Charlottetown was held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016 from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home Chapel where the funeral service was conducted by Reverend Antony Ware. Words of remembrance were given by her son Robert MacDougall on behalf of the family. During the service, soloist Flora Anne Whitty rendered the hymns In The Garden and Breathe on Me Breath of God. The pallbearers were nephews Wayne MacDougall, Allan MacDougall, Leo MacDougall, Wilson MacDonald and grandsons Andrew MacDougall and Thomas MacDougall. Honorary pallbearers were friends, Anne Legere, Carol Boyles, Theresa Meyer and Lloyd Robertson. The interment took place in Sherwood Cemetery, where Reverend Ware held the graveside service. The family of Alice Griffin wish to express our heartfelt thank you to all who supported us during mom’s recent passing. Your cards, flowers, donations, funeral home visits, church service attendance, and many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness were very much appreciated and will never be forgotten. Thank you to the Staff of the Hilltop View at the Mount Continuing Care Community for the wonderful care mom received and to the Sisters of Saint Martha for their prayers and support. A special thank you to Father Floyd Gallant and the choir of St. Dunstan’s Basilica for the beautiful service, to the Hennessey Funeral Home for their services, support and assistance and to Murphy’s Centre for their catering services following the service.
