Crash ejects youths from car

Two teenagers were flung outside their vehicle during a single-vehicle crash early Saturday in the Millview area of Kings County. Kings District RCMP officers responded to the call just after midnight about the accident that occurred on Route 3. Eyewitness­es told police that the vehicle, driven eastbound by a 17-year-old male, ran off the road at a slight bend in the road, and struck a power pole. Both the driver and his 17-year-old passenger were ejected from the vehicle upon impact. The extent of injuries from the collision are unknown at this time but are believed to be serious and both youth are in hospital. “The RCMP would like to remind all motorists to always wear their seatbelts and to slow down during this busy summer holiday season,” said a report on the incident issued Monday.
