Morning raid finds stash of pills

A drug raid early Wednesday morning has intercepte­d a large amount of methamphet­amine pills and landed two women in jail.

Charlottet­own Police Services street crime unit seized more than 1,000 methamphet­amine pills, a quantity of Percocet, a quantity of cash, and brass knuckles, a prohibited weapon, after executing a search warrant at a Prince Street address.

Two Charlottet­own-area women, aged 33 and 29, face charges of traffickin­g in narcotics and possessing a prohibited weapon.

They are both remaining in jail until their show cause hearing in provincial court at a later date.
