P.E.I. company offers cash prize

Green or clean-tech startup business

If you have an idea for a green or clean-tech startup business, a P.E.I. company could give you a cash prize.

Charlottet­own-based company e365 is offering the prize and start-up support for the best business pitch it hears at the Atlantic Green Expo, April 21-23.

The winner will be awarded $2,500 to put towards the new venture, along with free consulting time with e365.

The three-minute pitch sessions sions are open to anyone and participan­ts must agree to the following criteria:

• Pitch must be verbal only

• Be prepared to stand on a ladder and deliver their pitch

• Pitch will be directed to-wards a panel, but will be in public view at Atlantic Green Expo.

• Input from the audience will be encouraged, but the e365 panel will decide the winner Anyone interested in making a pitch must email a short pant- (100 words maximum) to mark@transforme­vents.ca

Pitches will be scheduled and participan­ts will be approved and notified of their time slots.

Admission to Atlantic Green Expo is free, and the event takes place at the UPEI School of Sustainabl­e Design Engineerin­g.

The expo includes displays, informatio­n sessions, keynote speakers, and the Sierra Club’s Wild Child program for kids.
