Front-line health workers need help

-

I would like to inform you that the health-care system on Prince Edward is desperately sick and is now in the intensive care unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on life support.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but life support is failing.

I recently had to go to the emergency room and got a first-hand experience with our health system. The people who work there are absolutely amazing, considering they are over-worked and under-paid and don’t have the resources they need. They are rushed off their feet.

The government needs to fix this broken system by having more front-line workers and doctors.

Islanders are not receiving good health from the MacLauchlan government because they are still on the waiting list for doctors and have to go to walk-in clinics and the ER to get service.

The government needs to start doing the right thing and do their job. You already messed up on election reform, education and now health care.
