Public figures under scrutiny
In response to Bruce MacIsaac’s letter, saying that the parents of the girl that did a crime shouldn’t be named (the family isn’t saying anything).
I don’t agree. The tables turn when a public figure has a child that does what she did — a horrific crime. (She needs help, and maybe the parents never saw that.)
It also shows that public figure families are not perfect. I hope she receives help at Portage.
The Guardian did its job in reporting the way it did.
