Bearcats win

MIRAMICHI, N.B. – The Truro Bearcats won the 2016-17 Maritime Junior Hockey League championship in dramatic fashion on Friday night.

Connor Morrison’s unassisted goal with 1:45 remaining in regulation time broke a 2-2, and Kyle Tibbo added an insurance marker 25 seconds later as the Bearcats defeated the Miramichi Timberwolves 4-2 in the deciding Game 7 of the final series.
