Fundraiser­s

A flea market and bake sale are at Stonepark Intermedia­te School, Charlottet­own, Saturday, May 6, 8 a.m. to noon. All proceeds are going to cystic fibrosis. Admission is $2/adult; youth are free.

A two- and five-km walk/run and a 10km run is being put on by South Shore United Church, #85 Rte 10, Tryon, May 7, 2 p.m., along the rolling, scenic, unpaved road along the Tryon River. Enjoy snacks, prizes and draws at the end of the race. Registrati­on is at 1 p.m. in the church hall. Admission is $15 per adult, $10 age 12 and under, $30 for a family. Hospice P.E.I. is participat­ing in the 15th annual Hike for Hospice Palliative Care on Sunday, May 7. There will be hundreds of sites across Canada taking part in this fundraiser to kick off Hospice Palliative Care Week. The P.E.I. Hike will be held in Summerside. Registrati­on will take place at the Shipyard Market on Water Street at 1:30 p.m. Registrati­on is $20. The hike will start at 2 p.m. and will follow a route on the Summerside Boardwalk.
