Hospice P.E.I. presents renowned speaker Deborah Grassman on soul injury and selfcare on May 10, 7 p.m., at the Rodd Charlottet­own, Kent Street. Grassman will hold a public session entitled “Chronic SorrowRevi­talizing the Weary Caregiver”. There is free admission, but donations to Hospice P.E.I. will be receipted.

Health/classes

Regular yoga classes are the first four weeks in May at the Milton Community Hall on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Wednesdays at 9 a.m.

Cards/Cribbage/ Crokinole

Beginner and intermedia­te Bridge lessons are at the Seniors Active Living Centre,

Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, Wednesdays, 12:45 p.m.

Scrabble is played at the Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, on Wednesdays, 1 p.m.

Euchre is played at the Montague Legion, Douses Road Wednesdays, 1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Auction/45s is at the Jack Blanchard Family Centre, Charlottet­own, Wednesdays 1:30 p.m. Admission is $2. There will also be a 50/50 draw.

Card games are at St. Francis church hall in Cornwall Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy an evening of auction and a cup of tea. Partners are not required.

Card parties (45s) are in St. Teresa’s in the church activity room, Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. The game is being played as singles, so a partner is not necessary. There is a 50/50 draw, and a light lunch.

St. Pius X Church Knights of Columbus cribbage is Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m., in the basement of St. Pius X Church, St. Peter’s Road, Charlottet­own, with prize, a loonie pot and a 50/50 draw. Bring a partner. Cost: $5 per person.

Eastern P.E.I. Shuffleboa­rd Club meets Wednesdays, 7 p.m., in the Wellness Centre, Wood Islands Hill, Montague. New members of all ages are welcome. Equipment is provided and a lesson.

Fundraiser­s

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada will be conducting its annual Carnation Campaign, May 11-13, in time for Mother’s Day, at various Island locations. Proceeds will be used to enhance the quality of life for those living with MS and to continue research for the cause and cure of the disease.

Annual Spring Fish Bake is May 12, 4:30-6 p.m., at the Lady of the Assumption Parish Centre, Stratford: six ounces of haddock; mashed potatoes; vegetabes; roll; tea; coffee, dessert.
