Helping Hands Jamboree, with the Helping Hands Band and other performers, is at St. Anthony’s Hall, Route 2, Woodstock, May 20, 7:30 p.m. Money raised supports charities such as hospitals, the Caring Cupboard, the breakfast program at the local elementary school, the local fire department­s and church activities. A ceilidh at Kelly’s Cross Community Centre is May 21, 7 p.m., with Ann Cudmore as emcee and featuring the House Band (Elmer Doiron, David Moore, Bill Campbell, Gertie Campbell, Herb McDonald), with guests Megan Ellands, Pat Molyneaux, Fraser Squires, Brendan Griffin, Mike Johnson, Wayne Gallant, Diane Adams Roche and Hazel St Armand. Admission is $5 and includes a light lunch, tea and coffee.There will also be a 50/50 draw. The centre is on Route 13, in Kelly’s Cross in the lower level of St. Joseph’s Church. Doors open at 6 p.m.

A ceilidh is at the York Community Centre on May 21, 7 p.m., hosted by Alpha-York Women’s lnstitute, with house band (Herb MacDougall, Joe Penney, Theo Wiegers, Janice Hebert, Bob Perry) and guests James Irving, George Docherty, Sterling Wight, Ivan Nicholson, Elaine O’Connor, Mary Smith and Lou Doiron. There will be a 50/50 draw, door prizes and lunch. The centre is wheelchair accessible; doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will support QEH and other WI projects.

Irish music session with Roy Johnstone and friends is at the Old Triangle in Charlottet­own, Sundays, 2-5 p.m. Players are welcome.

Winsloe United Church fundraisin­g ceilidh is May 22 at 7:30 p.m. Host Dino Dunsford will share the stage with Eddy Quinn and Keelin Wedge. The church, which is wheelchair accessible, is located at 121 Winsloe Rd., next to the Confederat­ion Trail and offers plenty of parking. There is a light lunch. Admission is $10 at the door with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

A ceilidh is at the Kings Playhouse, Georgetown, Tuesdays, Ceilidh in the City will host a special night of music on May 24, 7:30 p.m., in celebratio­n of their new home at the Jack Blanchard Centre on Pond Street, Charlottet­own, featuring the music of special guests Colleen MacPhee and Larry Campbell as well as the Ceilidh in the City band (Kendall Docherty, Peter Burke, Heartz Godkin, Brian Knox). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. General admission is at the door, and canteen service will be provided by Holy Redeemer Parish with a 50/50 draw taking place in support of the P.E.I. Canadian Mental Health Associatio­n and its suicide prevention and awareness programs.
